I wasn't sure how this race was going to go.  My husband was suppose to meet me before the race started to run with my daughter- at 8:00 he still hadn't shown up so I figured I'd be walking.  A few minutes after 8:00 he finally made it.  I had just enough time to move to the front of the pack and talk with Dean for a minute before the race started.  The run felt pretty good.  I pushed it fairly hard but never felt overly taxed- at the end I still had quite a bit left.  1st place in my age and 5th women (I think).  I'd still like to get my 5K time down to 21:00 minutes or less.

Check out the kids in this photo.  I was first in my age group and fifth woman and these little guys were giving me a run for my money.  This picture was taken about 100 yards from the finish line.

Ran back and walked my daughter back in (2 miles).

wow, those little kids with their darn fast twitch muscles always get me! I don't understand how I can run my butt off every day working and working and they can waltz out there w/out a care in the world and beat me! :)

Nice job on the race and getting 1st in your AG! If you still felt like you had something in you at the end, I can see a 21 min 5K for you easy!

Hey! How are you doing? Nice 5k turkey trot time. Little kids cease to amaze me!
