Ran a loop from my house around most of the Riverton half route and back home.  I had only planned on going out for 10 miles but felt good so I stretched it out to 13.  I started slow and actually ended strong.  My splits were as follows: 9:12, 9:06, 9:09, 9:14, 9:10, 9:08, 8:55, 8:46 (Lovers lane hill), 8:47, 8:44, 8:30, 8:17, 8:58 (from the river-bottom straight up 114th- this was by far the biggest hill of the route).  I think this may be the first time I have actually run a negative spilt.  The wind was pretty stiff in my face for the first half of the run.  AP: 8:55.

I haven't signed up the Riverton half and am not sure if I'm going to.  I will be curious what the actual route will be since the river has flooded both the 126th and bangeter areas and the trail is torn up.

Ran another 3.5 with the hubby this evening.  Thank goodness it was a very slow pace 10+.  My daughter rode her bike, the hubby pushed the jogging stroller and I ran the dog.  Beautiful evening- nice end to a great day.

I'm volunteering for the 1/2 and they have changed the course a little. It now goes back up to 13th from Roy O Hardy through the tithing hills subdivision then takes 13th down to the road where the pool is and goes back to the trail there. I guess the sewer district has promised to have it at least 6 feet wide runnable by Saturday for the race. Then it ends where it starts - I think the new map should be up soon! There are still over 100 spots available, you should sign up - you would do GREAT! Especially after seeing those kind of splits on the hills I know you ran!! You are kickin' some booty - I don't think you'll have much to worry about at Ogden.

Thanks, Rachel. You are always good for some inspirational words. It will great when your back on the roads. Maybe I will sign up just so I can visit with you.

Shelly, you should sign up! I'll be at mile 5 with some amazing 'run faster' water for you :) Then we'll be cheering you in at the finish (well, you might be too fast, but we'll see you!). I think some are planning to do Rock Creek Pizza afterward...just an extra nudge...

You definitely should sign up for the race. I was just checking your blog to see if you had. I am running it. I won't be able to keep up with you, but it would be great to see you.
