Easy run to get the legs moving.  Don't want to push since I'll be racing tomorrow.

Since this is my first race back since I had my ACL surgery I decided to start out slow and try to just enjoy the run.  My goal was to post a time somewhere between 1:45 and 2:00.  Mile 1 was an 8:22...nice and easy.  Mile 2- 7:49...starting to pick it up but just enjoying.  Mile 3- 7:43.  Feeling good, amazed my times were under 8 but still thinking I'd listen to my body and take the course as it came.  Mile 4- 7:32. I believe it was here I had 3 ladies pass me... I decided I would hang with them as long as I could...boy I didn't know what I was in for.  Mile 5- 7:55.  Mile 6- 7:53.  Mile 7- 7:38.  Mile 8- 7:15 (wow!  I can't believe I pulled that one off).  Mile 9- 7:21.  Mile 10- 7:33...I was starting to get really tired...but one of the three ladies kept encouraging me to hang on.  Mile 11- 7:52.  Mile 12- 7:35...this was one of the toughest miles for me mentally.  Mile 13- 7:36...just barely keeping up with the 3.  Last .1- 25 seconds.

A lot stronger finish than I ever imagined.  I enjoyed the race and appreciated the encouragement on the course.  I loved the rain as I truly enjoy running in weather (just not wind).  I was amazed at how hilly the new course  was.  I had no idea they had changed it and was surprised at the difficulty.   Great RUN!

A big thanks to Vanessa, Jill and Marissa! The 3 ladies I ended up tagging on to.

Finished 7th in my AG, right behind Jill and Marissa.  Time 1:40:15 with an AP of 7:39.

Went out for a run to get the legs moving and clear my head. I had planned to do 3-5 but ended with a whopping 9. Took off from the hotel and headed out figuring I could find a nice short loop... but with all the bluffs around the SG area I don't think there is such a thing... It was kind of nice not knowing where I was going or what was over the next hill. I did, however, have to use the GPS on my phone to find my way back home. Lots of hills, and nice weather. Overall a great run.

AP: 8:59. Splits: 9:05, 9:06, 9:08, 8:59, 9:09, 9:12, 9:02, 8:51, 8:20.

This race kills me psychologically... I hadn't planned to run in until the last minute.  I am not particularly fond of the course.  I had no plans going in... started out strong with paces in the mid- sevens but then lost it when I got on the park trail running into the wind.  I allowed myself to walk on several of the hills.  Ugh...   I was very surprised to have placed 3rd in may age group.  Some day I might conquer this race.

Ran over to the school to let the orchestra in.  I was headed back home and got about a mile away when i got a call that there was an alarm drop...so I had to run back and check all the doors... thus the 9:04 mile.  Added a little to the run but it felt great.  Loved the run.

excellent work! glad to see you out! We did that run a few weeks ago, but started at Wal-Mart. Next time, I'd rather start at your house and avoid those last few rollers to Wal-mart!

Ran this race as a pacer.  It was so much fun.  Beautiful course, great company, great run.  I felt amazing the entire run.   Final time was only 1.3 seconds over... so not shabby for a first time pacer.  :)

I would like to race this course at some point.  I think it could easily be a PR course.

Even at the slow pace if my time would have counted i would have been 9th in my division.  If I'd have run the race I think I reasonably could have placed 3rd in my division
